As part of its mission to empower faculty with resources to create data- and analytics-enriched solutions for research and real-world problems, the Translational Data Analytics Institute periodically invites its faculty affiliates throughout Ohio State to submit proposals for TDAI research support. This support is designed to advance translational team science in data science and analytics by:

  • Fostering an environment at Ohio State conducive to data science and analytics research, teaching and innovation
  • Supporting the formation of interdisciplinary teams of scientists and scholars to generate preliminary study concepts, technologies, data and results toward identifying, defining and creating solutions to problems within the institute’s scope
  • Maximizing transinstitutional connections among faculty, staff, students and external partners and bringing to bear productive new combinations of talents, expertise and resources

Starting in 2019, TDAI began a program that goes beyond traditional seed grants to include project ideation, mentoring and proposal development coaching, team work space, and computing resources, as well as financial awards.
