Dr. Lee’s research interests are statistical learning and multivariate analysis with a specific focus on classification, ranking, dimensionality reduction, and kernel methods. She is interested in problems at the intersection of statistics and machine learning. Her recent focus is on methodology for modeling latent structures in multivariate data and framework for understanding model stability and complexity in predictive settings.

Dr. Lee co-led the Foundations of Data Science and AI community of practice at TDAI from 2021 - 2022.
