Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Dr Cai’s research addresses statistical challenges and methodological problems in causal inference, missing data, mediation analysis, time series, and machine learning. Her work covers applications in intervention evaluation and trial design for outcomes subject to interference (e.g. infectious disease), as well as the analysis of multivariate time series of digital data (e.g., EMA, GPS traces, and accelerometer data) from wearable mobile devices.
