With a decade-long experience, I am directing the Mobility Systems Lab (MSL) housed the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. I am a core faculty affiliate of the Center for Automotive Research. I have a courtesy appointment with the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Integrated Systems Engineering at The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, USA.

My research includes Learning-based Controls, Machine Learning, Energy Efficient Systems, Reliable and Resilient Energy Solutions, Sustainable Mobility, Safety and Security, Smart Powertrain, and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles.

I have secured $9.1M in research awards funded by US DOE, US DOT, Automotive OEMs, and Suppliers. A few ongoing projects are USDOE Super Truck 2, USDOE Super Truck 3, USDOT UTC CARMEN+, and USDOE CoVaR.

I have authored over 100 international peer-reviewed publications and received OSU’s Lumley Research Award in 2018, SAE’s Buckendale Award in 2019, SAE’s Forest R. McFarland Award in 2022, Ralph R. Teetor Educational Award by the Society of Automotive Engineering (SAE), 2023, Highly accomplished early-career engineers by FOE National Academy of Engg. (NAE), 2023 and US Dept. of Energy Vehicle Tech. Office- Team Award: Super Truck II, 2024.

I am also the lead advisor of the Buckeye AutoDrive Team participating in the SAE/GM AutoDrive Challenge.

I am affiliated with OSU's Sustainability Institute, and Institute of Cybersecurity and Digital Trust.
