The Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) welcomes Vincent Davidson as a Graduate Teaching Associate supporting the Master of Translational Data Analytics (MTDA) program.

Davidson is a PhD candidate in computer science and engineering at The Ohio State University with a background in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data systems. Alongside his doctoral studies, he works at Nationwide in the AI and Databricks space, focusing on scalable AI systems, distributed data infrastructure and enterprise machine learning platforms.

His research interests center on building trustworthy and scalable AI systems that can efficiently retrieve, manage and reason over context in complex enterprise environments. Through this work, Davidson seeks to develop reliable AI infrastructure that supports transparent, efficient and trustworthy decision-making in real-world settings.

Davidson holds a Master of Science in computer science from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in computer science from Winston-Salem State University.

In his new role, Davidson will contribute to several MTDA activities, with a particular focus on the program’s capstone experience, student engagement and other educational initiatives. He may also support TDAI’s incoming AI and Data Science Graduate Fellows as those programs get underway.

“We’re excited to welcome Vincent to TDAI and look forward to the expertise and energy he will bring to our students and educational programs,” said Krishna Chaitanya Rao Kathala, director of the MTDA program and TDAI’s senior researcher and education lead.
