TDAI Hosts International Conference on Scalable Scientific Data Management (SSDBM 2025)

The Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) at The Ohio State University proudly hosted the 37th International Conference on Scalable Scientific Data Management (SSDBM 2025) from June 23–25, 2025, in the state-of-the-art Ideation Zone at Pomerene Hall.
This year’s conference marked a significant milestone in the evolution of the SSDBM series. Formerly known as the International Conference on Scientific and Statistical Database Management, the 2025 event embraced a broader scope under its new name—reflecting the dynamic landscape of scalable and scientific data management across disciplines.
SSDBM 2025 brought together researchers, practitioners, developers, and domain experts from around the world to share the latest advancements in scalable data systems, tools, and techniques. The conference maintained its tradition of a single-track program, fostering deep discussion and interdisciplinary exchange through invited talks, panel sessions, research presentations, and live demonstrations of both academic prototypes and industrial systems.
Hosting SSDBM aligns with TDAI’s mission to advance collaborative, data-driven research and innovation. The event provided a unique platform for thought leaders to explore pressing challenges and opportunities in managing large-scale scientific data, high-performance computing, and distributed data infrastructures.
“TDAI was honored to welcome the global data science community to Ohio State for SSDBM 2025,” said Tanya Berger-Wolf, Director of the Translational Data Analytics Institute and Professor of Computer Science Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering at The Ohio State University. “This conference exemplifies the power of interdisciplinary collaboration in driving innovative solutions for the world’s most complex data challenges.”
TDAI thanks the SSDBM organizing committee, participating researchers, and institutional partners for making this year’s event a success. We look forward to future collaborations inspired by the connections and insights shared during this landmark conference.
