TDAI faculty member Xiaolin Cheng is part of the collaborative team that launched Buckeye BioLaunch at The Ohio State University. Buckeye BioLaunch is a new AI-enabled initiative that will accelerate the discovery, development and commercialization of new therapeutics by bringing together expertise from across the university. It leverages artificial intelligence alongside Ohio State's strengths in biomedical research to identify promising therapeutic candidates, thereby accelerating the advancement from discovery to clinical application.

Buckeye BioLaunch brings together researchers from the College of Pharmacy, College of Medicine, the Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and the Comprehensive Cancer Center-Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute. The center is expected to support 10 to 20 AI-driven screening projects annually, helping to translate research discoveries into new therapies while advancing innovation and improving patient outcomes, ultimately driving biotech growth in central Ohio, fueling job creation, economic development, and improved health for Ohioans.
