Rongjun Qin, associate professor of geodetic engineering, was named Associate Editor of the ISPRS Journal of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, the official publication of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS), on December 5, 2021.

Dr. Qin's research addresses computational solutions to various problems in accurately measuring static and moving objects in an urban context using imaging sensors such as aerial/UAV imagery, LiDAR, and satellite multispectral/hyperspectral images. In this new position, Qin, who serves as director of Ohio State's Geospatial Data Analytics group, will cover, generally, the subjects of optical remote sensing, machine learning applications and other areas within his expertise.
