TDAI director Dr. Tanya Berger-Wolf will speak on a panel at the SXSW EDU 2022 Conference and Festival, to be held March 7-10 in Austin, TX. The discussion, entitled "How Good AI Can Be AI for Good in Higher Education," will be part of ideas showcase about education that features sessions with thought leaders from around the world, films, exhibitions, competitions, a mentoring program, and more. It will be organized around 11 themes, including Equity & Justice, Work Reimagined, and Emerging Tech.

About the talk: Artificial intelligence is transforming higher education, improving student outcomes, and providing valuable insights for institutions. The application of AI at the classroom and institutional level fuels an ongoing debate about who benefits and who is disadvantaged. Algorithmic bias, student privacy, and data quality issues are common concerns. Participate in a dynamic discussion on the best ways to ensure trust and transparency between the creators of AI and the people impacted.
