TDAI Successfully Concludes AI in Your Research Summer Workshop Series

This summer, the Translational Data Analytics Institute (TDAI) successfully completed its AI in Your Research Workshop Series, bringing together researchers, faculty, staff, and students from across Ohio State to explore practical applications of artificial intelligence in academic research.

The three-part series included:

• Generative AI in Your Research (May 20–21)
• Machine Learning in Your Research (May 27–28)
• Computer Vision in Your Research (June 3–4)

Designed as hands-on learning experiences, the workshops provided participants with practical skills and real-world applications of AI technologies. Through direct work in Python environments and research-focused exercises, attendees explored topics including large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), machine learning workflows, predictive modeling, computer vision techniques, and responsible AI implementation.

The series reflects TDAI's ongoing commitment to supporting Ohio State researchers by expanding access to emerging AI tools, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and building AI fluency across the university's research community.

As AI continues to transform research across disciplines, TDAI remains dedicated to helping researchers develop the knowledge and skills needed to responsibly leverage these technologies to advance discovery and innovation.

Stay connected with TDAI for future workshops, training opportunities, and programs designed to support data science and AI-enabled research.
