TDAI is excited to offer AI in Your Research, a new hands-on workshop series designed to help Ohio State researchers integrate cutting-edge AI tools into their scholarly work. These intensive workshops are held over two days, with five hours of instruction each day.

The Computer Vision in Your Research session, held June 3–4, focuses on the technical foundations and practical tools used to analyze image data in research. This interactive, application-focused workshop will guide participants through building workflows in Python for extracting meaningful information from visual data.

Participants will learn how modern computer vision methods can support image-based research across a wide range of disciplines, with an emphasis on practical application and hands-on learning.

Topics covered include:

  • Understanding the fundamentals of digital images and image data representation
  • Overview of classical computer vision techniques and modern deep learning approaches
  • Image preprocessing, transformation, and augmentation methods
  • Hands-on tutorials for working with computer vision tools in Python
  • Building workflows for extracting and analyzing information from image data
  • Applying computer vision methods across research domains

Registration
Registration is $260 per person per workshop ($130 for students). Payment may be made by requisition, purchasing order, or credit card.
