Root seminar: "Social Determinants and the Opioid Epidemic in Ohio"
TDAI core faculty Elisabeth Dowling Root (geography and epidemiology) is presenting on her work at a virtual seminar hosted by Case Western Reserve University's Mary Ann Swetland Center for Environmental Health. The talk, entitled "Social Determinants and the Opioid Epidemic in Ohio," will explore some of the research conducted as part of the HEALing Communities Study and discuss why an understanding of community structure is important for planning and evaluating the impact of substance use programs and policies.
