Bear Braumoeller, professor of policitical science and co-director of TDAI's computational social science research community of practice, has received an NSF award for PhD students in his Modeling Emergent Social Order (MESO) Lab to study the relationship between international conflict and international order. The team, which also combines theoretical modeling, historical cases and statistical research to measure international order and understand the connections between it and domestic order, also received a two-year grant from the Carnegie Corporation last year to support its research.
