The TDAI research pilot grant program supports big data-enabled, interdisciplinary collaborations among researchers at Ohio State that have translational potential to benefit the greater good. The two-year awards include up to $50,00 for direct costs to obtain preliminary data or develop a proof of concept that will result in an extramural grant application. In funding the awards, special consideration is given to projects that address responsible data science; health and well-being; the environment, climate and sustainability; and foundations of AI and data science.

The next call for pilot proposals will be issued in autumn 2025.
