Carrel receives CAREER award for urban travel behavior research

TDAI core faculty member Andre Carrel, assistant professor in civil, environmental and geodetic engineering, has received an NSF Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award that will support his research on urban travel behavior. Carrel's work aims to understand why travelers shift from more sustainable transit choices to auto-oriented lifestyles in order to support policy-making and infrastructure decisions that increase the sustainability, accessibility and affordability of urban transportation options.
