On December 7, 2020, Lt. Governor Jon Husted and InnovateOhio, in partnership with the Department of Administrative Services and the Office of Information Technology’s InnovateOhio Platform, announced the launch of the DataOhio Portal.
The portal, which focusses on the collaboration of DataOhio partners and related programs to collect a variety of datasets and unique visualizations, aims to deliver unprecedented transparency through an innovative, data-sharing platform. The project is public-facing, featuring more than 200 datasets and 100 interactive visualizations to inform data-driven decision making for state agencies and their partners. The system maintains an enhanced level of security and privacy in the DataOhio Portal, utilizing first of its kind technology to pursue and complete its many goals across Ohio. Topics of present datasets include Clinical, Corrections, Education, and multiple others. The DataOhio Portal illustrates the State of Ohio’s attention to becoming more customer-centric and data-driven, ultimately allowing state agencies, programs and entities to better serve citizens through a clear and direct system.
