TDAI affiliate and computer science and engineering professor DK Panda is officially a rock star, according to insideHPC. This month the blog features Panda in its “Rock Stars of HPC” series, which highlights people impacting society through their work in high-performance computing.

Panda is a world-renowned teacher, researcher, and innovator of parallel and high-end computing systems, and his lab has begun innovating tools for use with big data as well. The MVAPICH project he and his team started in 2000 includes open source HPC software that is used by thousands of organizations around the world, including by several supercomputers on the TOP500 list.
