The university is undertaking a restoration of historic Mirror Lake as part of its renovation of the surrounding district, which includes TDA’s future home in Pomerene Hall (shown above at bottom left). The project will return Mirror Lake to a more natural and sustainable state that is closer to its historic form.
When completed in 2018, the overall project, which includes Oxley Hall and Browning Amphitheater in addition to TDA’s Pomerene home, will transform the Mirror Lake District into modern learning environments for students and faculty in linguistics and the history of art as well as data analytics while retaining its significance, ambience, and appearance as an early and iconic area of campus.
