Epidemics spread through networks of human contact. Such networks have been studied for close to a century, and understanding them has never been more important as we face the COVID-19 pandemic. This workshop will explore the commonalities and differences in the mathematics behind the spread of epidemics, opinions, information and misinformation, and how networks of human contact factor into the spread of everything from COVID-19 to fake news.
